Greenplan offers a variety of products for optimal, data-driven route planning. In an ever-changing logistics landscape, a one-size-fits-all model is no longer effective. Therefore, Greenplan’s various solutions are individually tailored to each company and can be seamlessly integrated into existing operations. This way, dispatchers receive customised flexibility for optimal performance.
The powerful algorithm of Greenplan, the heart of our route optimization, is offered as a standalone module for integration into your existing TMS system. This allows you to enjoy all the benefits of cost reduction and increased punctuality without your dispatchers needing to adapt to a new environment or system interface. Greenplan collaborates with leading TMS providers to optimize your operations and perform complex calculations at the touch of a button. By utilizing existing data, hidden efficiencies are revealed, enabling informed business decisions. Manage your operations with mathematical precision to reduce transport costs and greenhouse gas emissions while increasing punctuality. Enhance your existing TMS with Greenplan:
Integrate the Greenplan Engine quickly and easily into your existing TMS via REST APIs
Customise the business rules to suit your operational requirements
Benefit from collaboration with leading European TMS and execution platforms
For customers with largely fixed delivery addresses and consistent volumes, Greenplan offers the creation of optimised framework route plans without the need for IT connectivity. Taking into account your requirements, constraints, order volumes, and desired optimisation goals, Greenplan creates a fixed route plan that your vehicles can follow week after week, which will be reviewed and updated at intervals agreed upon with you. Ensure long-term and noticeable optimisation of your network with Greenplan Planning:
No IT integration required, allowing for very quick implementation
Various optimisation options such as efficiency, quality, etc.
Optimisation of existing framework route plans or creation of new framework route plans
Greenplan Execution complements our products Engine or Planning and provides users with a system interface for visualising, monitoring, and adjusting route plans. It enables comprehensive management of your daily routing operations with a user-friendly interface. New orders can be easily added to existing routes throughout the day via drag-and-drop. The dispatcher always retains control over route planning and can decide whether to manually or automatically make new orders or changes to already planned routes through the system. On the active map, vehicles in delivery are displayed in near real-time. The ETA of each vehicle is updated every 30 seconds. In case of delays and potential time window violations, the dispatcher receives automatic alerts and recommendations from the system. Route changes are automatically communicated to drivers via the Driver App. The new estimated arrival time (ETA) can also be automatically communicated to customers via email or SMS.
For strategic questions beyond day-to-day operations, we are always at your service. Our consultancy services include, for example:
Determining the optimal fleet mix
Optimal assignment of customers to depots
Optimising existing delivery areas through overlapping districts
Site analysis for a new depot
CO2 determination
… and many more
Greenplan – the Smartest Way to Plan your Routes
Up to 30% cost savings compared to standard solutions
> 95% ETA compliance with dynamic routing and execution
Real-time visibility of your vehicles/drivers
Intra-day, ad-hoc adjustment of routes – even those already in execution
Automatic route updates for drivers thanks to the EPG ONE Driver App
As a standalone solution or integrated via REST API into your existing system (e.g., TMS or ERP system) or the EPG ONE Suite
Real-time Route Planning
Greenplan routes achieve industry-leading punctuality due to their unique approach of incorporating predicted travel and congestion times into the calculation of routes and stop sequences. This means that forecasted congestion times directly influence our routes and stop sequences. This surpasses all market solutions, which only add actual stop times at the end of the route calculation, after determining the roads and stop sequences. By consciously integrating predicted delays due to congestion into the planning, it results in fewer stops per route and reduced workload during working hours.
Unique Planning Possibilities Through Overlapping Districts and Dynamic Planning:
Fixed regions – Optimal processing times
Companies that rely on fixed districts for their route planning benefit from optimal handling times by dividing their routes into fixed districts. The advantage: your drivers know all the addresses, saving significant time. The disadvantage: travel times can increase significantly due to longer routes, and more vehicles are on the road.
Overlapping regions – Optimal compromise
For companies that cannot do without dividing into fixed districts, we offer a solution that combines the best of fixed and dynamic districts: overlapping districts. Our expert team calculates the optimal overlap of adjacent districts together with your dispatchers. This balances volume fluctuations between districts, leading to higher vehicle utilization and fewer vehicles on the road. At the same time, it ensures that drivers know the majority of their addresses, resulting in lower handling times. By overlapping with adjacent districts, you achieve the optimal compromise between customer- and load-dependent handling times and ideal travel time.
Dynamic planning – Optimal driving times
With the fully dynamic planning approach, which does not rely on geographical boundaries, you efficiently utilize the loading capacities of your fleet. This allows the delivery areas to be optimized as a whole. Your benefits include: punctual deliveries, the shortest possible routes, and the fully automatic assignment of orders to tours.
